PROFESSION HEALTH: Hope, there is always hope ahead when you know what to look for

Ambition, again, is a healthy power of finding those “motivational” buttons and making decisions. One of the always active decisions must be to act toward communication. How many times have you heard from your patients: It was never like that – I always had firm and healthy body? Or good memory, or stable emotional life.

The same applies to all of us, to life itself. We need to recognize the essential forces of dynamic, ever-changing environment and occasions, subtle balance between low and high, acid and base, health and illness, excitement and happiness, experience and disappointment.

It is not necessarily easy to understand, but is widespread feature of life. It moves, changes places and shapes, progresses or reverses but it is never still. In its movements lay the instruction manual for resilience, and adaptation.

It only works if we are introspective continuously, whether it is leading to a sharp left turn, or an abrupt descend, only to ascend when time is right, and our strength and wisdom in optimal shape to master the challenge. The good news is that we do not really get tired of constant adaptation. The outcome we are streaming to is a virtue of renewal that will come into the rescue every time when our lives slow down. Fifty tries and more.

Now, about the true win. Watching documentaries about Universe, I was always amazed seeing continuing smiles on astrophysicists’ or other scientists’ faces. I long have believed that they are the happiest people on Earth. Because, every day they were looking at life from the outer space knowledge.

Naturally, it is not likely that all of them were fulfilled, but the enthusiasm about research and findings was clearly captivating. Moreover, their true excitement was about their colleagues’ discoveries and that seem to be one real source of satisfaction.

In order to refresh our path, we have to know what are we good at. Renewal is not coming without a price tag. There is always something to lose before we gain. Hesse was a main source of thoughtful literature in my adolescence…
