That’s also how I connected with Dr. Bak Nguyen. I started as a patient to slowly grow into a friend and a brother. We both genuinely connect on a personal basis as people who care, really care. As our friendship grew stronger, one day he asked for my help to secure the financing of the most ambitious private project in the dental field: Mdex & Co. Not only with lights and design, but with genuine human values at its core.

I won’t tell you that it was easy. To convince the bank was a true challenge. On one hand, we have the possibility to build the future of a whole industry, on the other hand, we need to fit it into the bank’s ratios. I can tell you that I was particularly proud when the team of bankers successfully rallied the bank’s vision to Dr. Bak’s vision.
I reached out to the right people and today, I am as proud as I am happy to be interviewed in the new Mdex’s headquarters, from the president’s office!As a private banker, I take pride and personal interest in the achievements of my clients and friends. I love to share the vision and the excitement with each of them. Are they all my friends?
Unfortunately, no. But I do invest the time to know each of them. With most, I will be very professional. But from time to time, I meet with clients with who I share more energy. Those, I call my friends. I might not become friends with all of my clients but I am friendly to all of them. That’s how we might have a chance for a genuine connection and, maybe, the opportunity to share a dream and good business together.
As Dr. Bak likes to put it, “The most ambitious project in the dental field was been vouched by a patient...” me! That is the hope I want to share with you today: be respectful, be transparent, be honest, be yourself…
